Itinerary

Day 1 (Sunday) : Delhi-

Visit the Delhi railway station to board the train. The train starts from Delhi and moves towards Jaipur. Brunch is served onboard. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the amenities inside the train. The train reach Jaipur by late evening. Dinner at any signature restaurant in Jaipur. Overnight stay in the train as it halts at Jaipur.

0830: Maharajas’ Express proceeds to Jaipur
1300: Lunch onboard
1430: Arrive into Jaipur
1500: Proceed to visit City Palace Galleries followed by dinner at Rambagh Palace Hotel
2030: Return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express. Overnight on train at Jaipur

Day 2 (Monday) : Jaipur-

After breakfast, the sightseeing starts with Amber Fort. Lunch is served in the train. The train starts its trip towards Ranthambore. Evening is at leisure to enjoy the train features. Dinner and overnight stay in the train.

1230: Return to the Maharajas' Express for lunch onboard. After lunch you may choose the Optional Activities - Spa at a hotel or a visit to City Palace and Observatory (Jantar Mantar) or a Local City Tour

2300: Maharajas' Express leaves for Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)

Day 3 (Tuesday) : Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri-

Train halts at Sawai Madhopur. Trip to Ranthambore National Park for an early morning safari. Breakfast and lunch onboard as the train continues its journey towards FatehpurSikri. Afternoon excursion to the ancient city for exploration. Dinner and overnight stay in the train. Train journeys towards Agra.

0930: Return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express
0945: Breakfast onboard
1015: Maharajas' Express proceeds for Fatehpur Sikri
1330: Lunch onboard

1530: Visit the deserted Mughal City of Fatehpur Sikri
1800: Return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express
2000: Dinner onboard. Overnight on train at Fatehpur Sikri

Day 4 (Wednesday) : Agra-

Train reaches Agra in the morning. Early morning visit to Taj Mahal and followed by breakfast at any venue. Return back to train for lunch and brief rest. Evening sightseeing to Agra Fort. Dinner and overnight stay in the train. Train runs towards Orchha.

0630: Arrive into Agra and proceed to visit the Taj Mahal
0930: Champagne Breakfast at Taj Khema
1100: Return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express
1300: Lunch onboard. After lunch you may choose Optional Activities such as Spa at a Hotel or Visit to Itmad-ud-Daula or Agra Fort or a Local City Tour or Mohabbat the Taj Show
1730: Dinner onboard

Day 5 (Thursday) : Orchha - Khajuraho-

Train reaches Orchha by early morning. City excursion to Orchha after breakfast and back to train for lunch as train moves towards Khajuraho. Visit to the Khajuraho group of monuments and back to the train by late evening. Dinner and overnight stay in the train. The train moves towards Varanasi.

0730: Deboard at Jhansi to reach Orchha by Road. Visit Orchha Fort and Village Tour by Tuk Tuks
1000: Return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express and Maharajas Express proceeds to Khajuraho

1530: Arrive into Khajuraho and proceed to visit the Western Group of Temples

2000: Dinner Onboard
2310: Maharajas’ Express proceeds to Varanasi

Day 6 (Friday) : Varanasi-

Train reaches Varanasi by early afternoon. Breakfast and lunch onboard. Afternoon visit to Silk Weaving Center. Day trip to Sarnath for pilgrimage sightseeing. Early evening boat ride on River Ganges to enjoy the Ganga Arti. Back to train for dinner and overnight stay. Train continues to run towards Delhi.

1200: Arrive into Varanasi. Proceed for Lunch at Taj Ganges Hotel
1430: Visit Sarnath ruins followed by visit to silk weaving centre
1630: Proceed for Boat ride on the Ganges to witness Evening Aarti
1730: Enjoy an exclusive vegetarian Dinner with Kathak Dance at Brij Rama Palace at Ghats
2100: Returns to the comforts of the Maharajas’ Express
2115: Maharajas’ Express proceeds to Lucknow

Day 7 (Saturday) : Delhi-

Train reaches Delhi by late afternoon. Breakfast and lunch onboard. Journey ends at Delhi station.
